The Best Self-Defense Gadget To Lug Throughout A Nature Adventure Journey

By Sue A Waberry

I have been a mountain climber for almost all of my life. Even as real danger hides each and every step of the way, I've learned my lesson since one fateful day inside Mount Elbert, Colorado.

Buddies and also I were speeding up to be able to make it to the summit ahead of sunset the second a brown bear went hurrying right in front of us. It was a good thing Casey got one of her own effective bear repellents available. Otherwise, all of us would never have survived to share the story.

Animal rights supporters need not be concerned about utilizing bear repellents, that reduce the probability of permanent harm as well as loss of life among people and bears during a bear strike. These are designed just as self-defense weapons in warding off bears instead of engaging them in a terrible fight.

Defense spray effects are non-fatal and short-lived, leaving sufficient time for people to leave the bear, get some help and allow the bear to rejoin its population. Casey likes to remind us that this is not recommended for use on humans, or normal defense spray on bears.

Even though I do not often head over to bear-populated areas, I constantly have my own Guard Alaska bear repellent available now. This is the only EPA-approved bear self-defense spray for repelling all bear species, but it is non-combustible and does not have ozone-depleting materials at the same time.

During one of my nature treks, I ran across a black bear which seemed to have just gotten out of hibernation. I was frightened of running away because I knew this would catch up with me at some point.

I nabbed my belt bag quickly. Just when it was about to jump on me, I squished my self-defense spray for bears onto its face as well as chest coming from some 15 to 20 feet. I then made a run for it, never looking back to the place the furious bear was.

Nature adventure trips will never be complete without having effective bear repellents. Whether we like it or not, peril comes whenever it is least anticipated.
