The FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES By Carole A. Western

By Stacey Massey

Anyone looking for a new supernatural themed book series with incredible story lines and characters that make the adventure feel real is certainly going to enjoy The FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES. Written by accomplished author Dr. Carole Ann Western, this is a concept that is so different than anything else in the genre. This is bound to be a best selling work of fiction and high fantasy.

This is a series about seven brothers known as the Karazans who just so happen to be vampires though they are very different from the traditional stereotype. They use an alternative method of obtaining the blood they need for survival and believe fangs are only to be used when fighting to survive. They are unique in many ways which is part of what makes these stories so intriguing.

A different brother's adventures will be featured in each installment of this series. They have spent several thousand years keeping low profiles and going undetected but that does not mean their lives have been docile or boring. Each new tome will be filled to the brim with supernatural thrills, breathtaking suspense, epic battles, murder, greed, battles for control as well as ill fated yet eternal love.

Outskirts Press, Inc released the first book in the series, Fire Goddess, in April of 2013. It revolves around the ruthless and greedy vampire brother, Alon, who lets nothing and no one stand between him and his fortune. Even the beautiful setting of the Hawaiian Islands can soften the intensity of this thrill packed tale.

As the story begins, Aimee McKenzie is living in Star Valley, Wyoming with the grandfather who raised her after the loss of her parents. She receives an unexpected invitation from her Grandfather Kulana who lives in Hawaii and whom she has never before had any form of contact at all. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to learn about her Polynesian heritage and accepts the offer with little hesitation.

What Aimee does not realize is that anything but happy family reunions and loving relations await her on the island. Her cousin, who she had no idea she had, wishes to be be the sole heir to the family fortune and is determined to see his only competition dead. He is a centuries old vampire, Alon, who is filled with jealousy, rage and greed and a desire for blood.

Fortunately for Aimee, one of the four Fire Goddess sisters, Polihanu, takes kindly to her and sends a mighty warrior named Kiyoto to stave off attacks from Alon, as well as all the others who wish to do harm to the young woman. As fate would have it, the immortal protector and his mortal charge become engaged in a most forbidden love. Now the generous benefactor is facing some very dangerous decisions.

As Kiyoto fights to save Aimee from demons, witches, fire hounds, vampires, Pele and Alon, Polihanu is facing a tenuous decision on how best to save both protector and protected. The story lines and characters are totally unique and memorable. Incredible battles, intense love and one twist after another ensures that the reader will be anxiously awaiting the next book in the FORGOTTEN VAMPIRES series.
