Basic Tips On Covert Hypnosis

By George Turner

Covert hypnosis is basically a mental technique used to converse with people without noticing it by directly speaking to their unconscious mind. When initiated covertly during a conversation, it is referred to as conversational hypnosis. The procedure works by turning off the critical mind of the target and consequently taking advantage of their subconscious mind.

It is simply dominating the mind of targeted individuals and taking away their will to make decision without the influence of their hypnotizer. This discovery was made as a result of a study that was made to assist memory loss patients recover parts of their memories. The technique work by activating the imaginative side of the target by switching off their critical mind and using their unconsciousness to control the way they think.

Today, there are several modes of hypnotism only that people do not notice them; instead, they disregard them and take them as part of life. For example, people sleep walk everyday and can even go beyond picking mails and drinking a glass of milk and will deny it when they are awake. Others will drive on highway, obey sign boards including traffic lights and will not remember any detail of the journey when alighting.

The most critical steps used by hypnotizers are building a rapport with the target, switching off their mind, and proceeding with the hypnotic demands. This is a way of taking unfair advantages over people without them noticing it or rather being incapable of resisting. One thing about this procedure is that the victim will not notice any of the occurrences.

Building rapport with the listener helps them concentrate on what the hypnotizer is saying and by initiating hypnotic words, the listener completely becomes unconscious giving one the chance to make their demands. Things should be taken slowly until they become uneasy; this is probably done by making them laugh and then maybe by start sharing innermost feelings.

Switching off the mind of the target is the critical step, which involves the use of words such as; imagine and what if so as to activate their imaginative side. One should be very careful at this point as it can backfire if the targeted individual was not deeply connected. The language used and the level of rapport are the determining factors of this step.

The last part entails the demanding section whereby one is fully unconscious and has no authority over their mind. At this point, the hypnotizer can demand anything or ask any question and get a sincere answer. However, one should ensure that the environment is normal so as not to raise any doubts that may trigger anything unusual as their state of mind is usually unstable once they wake up.

The use of covert hypnosis has grown popular over the years, and people have discovered the power it possesses and are using it to their benefit. For instance, people have used it to commit murders by making other people commit suicides. On the other hand, motivational speakers have been seen using the technique to make great impact by twisting peoples way of thinking.
